Greenpeace, the Union of Concerned Scientists, the Sierra Club, and others formed ExposeExxon.org to try to shed light on this matter, and to make the public aware of Exxon's actions.
Greenpeace has done a lot of research about Exxon and how they spend their money on attempting to give the public misinformation about the reality of global warming. It has paid off.
Here's a letter that the U.S. House of Representatives just sent Exxon on May 17th urging them to come clean about their deceitful ways.
Please tell your friends and family about Exxon and how they are trying to trick us all. Sometimes Exxon's gas stations are the most convenient, but we all need to remember that if we buy Exxon, we are buying into lies when we could buy from other companies that are working hard to provide us with eco-friendly alternatives and bring an end to global warming. I wish I had known about all of this sooner. I had heard about it, but not until I started working at Greenpeace did it all really hit home.
